How does AI augment human relationships?
Tate Exchange, Tate Modern’s public programme, and Hyphen-Labs, a collective working across technology, art and social justice.
Create a public programme that helped people explore how artificial intelligence might affect human relationships. The programme needed to make a complex subject approachable, participatory and relevant to a broad Tate audience.
- A live public programme at Tate Modern in 2019, developed with Hyphen-Labs
- Activities and discussions that invited visitors to consider how AI could shape connection, care, trust and communication
- A participatory format designed to make the subject accessible to people with different levels of knowledge about AI
- Materials and facilitation that supported conversation rather than presenting a fixed answer
I managed delivery across planning, coordination and the live programme. I worked with the project team and Tate Exchange to keep the work organised, make sure practical requirements were covered, and support delivery on the day.
The programme created space for a public conversation about AI and human connection at a time when those questions were beginning to reach a wider audience.
