Funded project delivery
I lead funded digital and service design projects from the first brief to launch and handover, with research and co-design at the centre.
What I lead
Depending on the project, I build the website myself, as on Healthy Dialogues, or lead a team of designers, researchers and developers.
- Discovery and community-led research, with participants paid for their time
- Co-design, concept testing and iteration
- Agile, Prince2-informed delivery, with a programme board, risk log and regular reporting
- Website and digital product build
- Launch, comms and stakeholder plans
- Handover documents, guides and training
When it helps
- You have funding for a discovery, service design or digital project and need one person to own it
- A project is losing momentum because ownership, scope or timelines are unclear
- You need to reach and involve communities that services often miss
- You have a fixed deadline from a funder or programme board
After launch
Hosting, upkeep and accessibility.
You choose what happens to the website after launch.
- Hand it over. I move the site onto your own hosting and train your team to run it, with how-to guides and a technical handover. On Healthy Dialogues, the client’s team now edits and runs the content themselves.
- I host and maintain it. I host the site for you on managed hosting such as Netlify, and keep it updated and secure. What is included, and the cost, is set out in the written scope.
I build to WCAG 2.2 AA, the accessibility standard used for UK public sector websites, and run automated accessibility checks before launch. In October 2026, the Healthy Dialogues and Black Man’s Toolkit sites showed no WCAG 2.2 AA errors in an automated check of their home pages and 10 Healthy Dialogues chapter pages.

How we work together
What you can expect, whichever way we work together.
- We start with a conversationYou tell me what is happening and what needs to change. If I am not the right fit, I will say so.
- You get a written scopeA short proposal covering the work, the cost, the timescale and what a good handover looks like. Nothing starts until you have agreed it.
- Weekly updatesA weekly check-in with your lead contact, and a short written update on progress, risks and decisions. I keep a risk log from day one.
- Clear decisionsYou set the priorities and sign off the work. I make day-to-day calls within the agreed scope, and raise anything that would change the cost or timescale early.
- Data and safeguardingI collect only the personal data the work needs, keep it secure and delete it when the project ends. Research participants give consent and are paid for their time. I hold an enhanced DBS check.
- Accessible by defaultWebsites are built to WCAG 2.2 AA and checked with automated accessibility testing before launch. Websites and documents are written in plain English and tested on phones.
- A proper handoverYou get the documents, guides and training your team needs to carry on without me.
